Special day in honour of VivianeSpecial day in honour of Viviane Durand-Guerrier for her retirement: March 26th September 16th, Bizerte, Tunisia [CANCELED] Viviane Durand-Guerrier is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) of Fontenay aux Roses (France) where she studied Mathematics and Logic. She began her professional career as a secondary teacher of Mathematics and then moved to research in Didactics of Mathematics. She defended in 1996 a PhD on the logical concept of Implication, emphasizing that difficulties faced by students in its use are closely related with the polysemy and the complexity of this notion. From 1998 to 2009 she was a teacher trainer for primary school teachers at the Institute for Teacher Training in Lyon. She got in 2005 an Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR), and moved in 2009 to the University of Montpellier. She is a former President, 2004-2007, of ARDM (Association pour la Recherche en Didactique des Mathématiques) and a former President, 2013-2017, of ERME (European Society for Research in Mathematics Education). She is currently member of the IMAG (Institut Montpelliérain Alexander Grothendieck) and head of the DEMa (Didactic and Epistemology of Mathematics) team. She is the coordinator of the INDRUM network (International Network for Didactic Research in University Mathematics). Her main research interest is the study of the relationships between logic, langage, argumentation, proof and mathematics teaching and learning from primary school to university. She has supervised or co-supervised eleven PhD theses in Didactics of Mathematics defended from 2004 to 2018, and she currently supervises two PhD theses. Schedule of the mini-conference:
Talks will be given in French with slides in both languages. |
