We now invite research paper and poster proposals on the following themes / keywords:

1. Teachers’ and students’ practices at university level.

2. Teaching and learning of specific topics in university mathematics.

3. Transition to and across university mathematics.

4. Novel approaches to teaching.

5. Digital and other resources in university mathematics education.

6. Assessment practices in university mathematics education.

7. Preparation and training of university mathematics teachers.

8. Teaching and learning of analysis and calculus.

9. Teaching and learning of linear and abstract algebra.

10. Teaching and learning of number theory and discrete mathematics.

11. Teaching and learning of logic, reasoning and proof.

12. Teaching and learning of mathematics in other fields.

13. Teaching and learning of mathematics for engineers.

14. Epistemological studies of mathematical topics.

15. Curricular and institutional issues concerning the teaching of mathematics at university level.

Submissions should comply with the guidelines above and the INDRUM template. Please note that the working groups will be organised after we have received submissions. You are therefore requested to provide keywords as follows:

  • Two keywords among the list of 15 key words above.
  • A maximum of three, additional keywords (either from 1-15 or other ones you deem relevant to your submission)

Deadlines

September 15, 2019: Registration open

October 6 15, 2019: Deadline for submission of paper and poster proposals.

December 6, 2019: Deadline for reviewers to submit their reviews

January 12, 2020: Decisions about paper or poster acceptance

February 12, 2020: Deadline for revisions of papers and posters.

March 8, 2020: Third announcement with conference program and pre-proceedings available on the conference website

March 27-29, 2020: Conference in Bizerte (Tunisia)

Guidelines for paper and poster proposals

How to submit a paper

Please submit your paper at http://indrum2020.sciencesconf.org/user/submissions by October 6th, 2019. Note that, in order to access this page, you need to login with your existing INDRUM details or create an account and then log in. We request that you follow the guidance given for the format of your paper below. Following peer review, by January 12th, 2020, you will receive a decision about whether your paper has been accepted for pre-conference publication on the INDRUM website and discussion at the conference. Acceptance is likely to be conditional on revisions to your paper, in which case you will be asked to return the revised paper by February 12th, 2020. Details of how your paper will be included in the conference programme will be communicated closer to the start of the conference.

Please format your paper as follows:

  1. Write the paper in English (G.B), in French or Arabic using Times 14-point font, 16-point line space, and 6 points between paragraphs; occupying a frame of 170 by 247 mm. You must use the INDRUM template.
  2. Restrict your paper to a maximum of ten pages, including references, figures and appendices.
  3. Type and centre the title (in 16 point bold), author(s) name(s) (in 14 point bold), and affiliation(s) of author(s) (in 14 point italics) in this order; all in Times.
  4. Underline the name of the presenting author(s).
  5. Begin the paper with an abstract of up to ten lines, single-spaced, in italics.
  6. Indicate up to five keywords as indicated in the Call for paper and poster proposals.
  7. Give references in the APA style, http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/authors/style/reference/tf_A.pdf.

We kindly request that you comply with this format and we note that papers not using this format in full may not proceed to the peer review stage.

How to submit a poster

Please submit your poster proposal at http://indrum2020.sciencesconf.org/user/submissions by October 6th, 2019.

We request that you follow the guidance given for the format of your poster below. Following peer review, by January 12th, 2020, you will receive a decision about whether your poster has been accepted for pre-conference publication on the INDRUM website and discussion at the conference. Acceptance is likely to be conditional on revisions to your poster, in which case you will be asked to return the revised poster by February 12th, 2020. Details of how your poster will be included in the conference programme will be communicated closer to the start of the conference.

Poster proposals must include a short description of the research topic, the theoretical framework, research questions, and, if possible, research results and implications based on the research results.

Please format your poster proposal as follows:

  1. Restrict your proposal to a maximum of two pages. The proposal must include a title, a summary description of the content of the poster, of the way its content will be presented, and up to five keywords following the requirements indicated in the call for paper and poster proposal.
  2. Write the proposal in English (G.B), in French or Arabic using Times 14-point font, 16-point line space, and 6 points between paragraphs; occupying a frame of 170 by 247 mm. You must use the INDRUM template.
  3. Type and centre the title (in 16 point bold), author(s) name(s) (in 14 point bold), and affiliation(s) of author(s) (in 14 point italics) in this order; all in Times.
  4. Underline the name of the presenting author(s).
  5. Note that no abstract is required for a poster.
  6. Indicate up to five keywords as indicated in the Call for paper and poster proposals.
  7. Give references in the APA style, http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/authors/style/reference/tf_A.pdf.

We kindly request that you comply with this format and we note that proposals not using this format in full may not proceed to the peer review stage. If your proposal is accepted, a vertical rectangular board will be made available at the conference for the presentation of your poster.
